Disconnected after character choice loading screen

I updated today to patch 2.3.1 and could only log into my account. After choosing character and trying to enter world, I get the usual loading screen but when the bar fills, I get disconnected from the server.
I deleted the patches A & B from the enGB game folder (found this instruction somewhere in the forum), then re-downloaded them via launcher - and I still can't log into any character
Yesterday, still on patch 2.3.0, everything worked fine

I'd highly appreciate some help with this issue

This is due to the fact that you are using a proxy to access the game.
For security reasons, we do not allow account creation or log in to the game via public proxies.
You can either try to create an account using your mobile or send us your current IP so we can enable it.
Just google "what's my IP" and send us the result.

Uhh, got no idea about proxy and stuff o.O
I tried making a new account over my phone while connected to my home wifi network as usually.
After the first screen (terms and conditions agreement), I got some error 404 with some funny text.

I somehow had then the idea to unplug my router and reconnect it.

Problem solved, I was able to login & play
